The Sons of a Queen Foundation has been a project in the making for years and now inspired to continue Mikey's legacy. The goal is to provide platforms and opportunities for young men to learn important life skills and be able to utilize these in real world settings. Responsibility and accountability will be the backbones off the program while making important connections within the community.
CONNECT - PURPOSE - TALK - INSPIRE
- CONNECT: Connect youth with economic resources. Partnering with role models, government entities, and private sector to help close the gap.
- PURPOSE: To help clarify youth directional path in life. Provide life tools that help implement their purpose in life.
- TALK: Communicate the importance of youth roles in society. Discovering challenges, relationship, judicial, community living, education, and character building.
- INSPIRE: Encourage youth to work together to help achieve individual growth top develop their purpose in life.

Our Goal
Sons Of A Queen Foundation would like to assist you with clarifying your directional path in life and achieving your individual goals.
- Up to $4500 towards graduation plans
- School clothing allowances & supplies (per high school semester, up to 4 years)
- Job connections (starting age 14)
- Savings match (certain terms, criteria required)
- Banking & finance information (individual accounts)
And more!
Funding per semester is limited.
Requirements/Eligibility
- Born black race (African American) male and identify as active male gender
- 9th Grade attending public high school in North Carolina
- ROTC must be included in classes selected per grade of high school
- Provide copy of progress report each school semester
- Apply and working a job at age 14 (according to Labor/Employment for state of North Carolina)
- Open savings account (under Sons of a Queen Foundation)
- Maintain a passing Grade Point Average (GPA) 2.0 or equivalent to C or above
- Meet with school counselor, and or advisory teacher(s) at least twice monthly to seek assistance if needed…
- Student name must be on one or more government assistance (Government low-income housing, HUD, Medicaid, SNAP, or SSI) as recipient
- No Misconduct, No probations, No criminal activities, No court charges, No Gang affiliations
- Save up to $1500 from employment wages prior to graduating from high school
- In good standards with school (including attendance)
This is a preventive plan that assists the selective applicant with maintaining their accountability and responsibility towards achieving goals for a positive outcome.
